Hebe 'Topiaria'. (Shrubby Veronica)
Hebe's formerly referred to as Shrubby Veronica's come in such a wide selection of flower & leave colour, size, shape and flowering time. Typically they are evergreen offering year round foliage and are good reliable plants.
Topiaria is a tried and trusted favourite of ours. The leaves are approximately 1cm in length and 3-4mm wide and appear in a dense mass across the bush creating a lush pale blue green form. The flowers show in summer smothering the plant in white blooms. These flowers last for weeks typically appearing around July here in Cornwall, may vary on location. And are simply adored by the bees.
Happy growing in containers or beds and borders. Eventual height and spread 1 x 1m can be kept small by pruning or allowed to grow. Best in full sun although will tolerate part shade. Tolerant to the majority of soil types and aspects.
Plant is sent as a healthy young plant in p9 (0.5l) pot, grown from vegetative propagation guaranteeing the cultivar. The photo shows the parent plant in full flower. These can be grown on then planted to final position or planted straight out.
