Billbergia are a form of bromeliad however these have much more interesting flowers that the commonly seen cultivars.
Tough thick green long strappy leaves are evergreen and create a mounding form over time. When in flower spikes of pink sheathed buds appear on arching stems and open to the most beautiful multi coloured flowers. Time of flowering varies depending on location.
Hardy in mild areas and fantastic indoors or out. Minimal watering required.
