Mentha spicata. (Spearmint)
Mint now comes in so many forms. This being the classic confectionary mint used when making sweets and teas. Making your own spearmint tea is delicious and so simple. Also great in a sensory planting scheme or for natural pest deterrent. Or simply because you like the scent.
Grows in full sun or part shade. Can be grown in the ground or containers. Containers are advized if you wish to keep to a set size as mint can grow quickly. Very easy to grow.
This is a perennial so will enter dormancy as just roots in winter. Spring will show new growth Summer in full growth and flower. Autumn the mint begins to die back for winter. Depending when you purchase this item it may be at different stages of growth.
Plants will be sent in 9cm pot. Upon arrival unpack carefully and if dry give a little water. Acllimatise the plant to its new environment before potting on or planting out.
