Origanum vulgare. (Oregano)
We have always loved this plant. The scent is a classic of warm Mediterranean, plant it where you brush past. The flowers emerge in summer they are only small but smother the plant and the bees especially honeybees love them. A must have for any scented scheme, culinary planting or wildlife planting.
The herb is completely edible and can be used raw or cooked simply pick as you need it. Likes full sun and free draining soil. Looks good trailing down walls and banks. But can be planted in many locations. Also acts as excellent ground cover.
This is a perennial so will enter dormancy in winter. Spring will show new growth Summer in full growth and flower. Autumn the mint begins to die back for winter. Depending on when you purchase this item it may be at different stages of growth.
Plants will be sent in 9cm pot. Upon arrival unpack carefully and if dry give a little water. Acclimatise the plant to its new environment before potting on or planting out.
