Ajuga 'Burgundy Glow'. (Bugle)
Ajuga are hardy ground cover perennials (come back year after year). They grow at ground level in a mat forming habit creating a carpet effect of dark bronze leaves. They provide long season colour as well as a natural weed suppressant.
The flowers sit above the leaves in the form of small spikes around 2 inches tall with numerous small blue flowers from spring through to autumn.
These are easy to grow tolerant to most soil types and location however the stronger the light levels the stronger the colourings and flowers.
Excellent for underplanting, beds, borders & containers.
Comes in a 9cm pot. Upon receipt place in semi shade in a cool location & water for a day or two before planting to allow the plant to settle after transit.
When planting dig a hole the size of the pot, fill with water. Soak the pot and remove the plant with all the soil and place directly into the hole. Backfill firm in and water. If cool this will then look after itself, When the weather is hot water daily until it has established usually 1-2 weeks.
