Mentha × piperita 'Strawberry'. (Strawberry Mint)
Mint now comes in so many forms. This is mint but smells similar to strawberry chewitts.
It is a hardy perennial that likes full sun or part shade and well drained soil. It seems tolerant to nearly all locations and I fast growing. Will grow happily in containers or allowed to spread in the ground.
Pale pink flowers in summer. Grows up to 50cm tall can be trimmed hard so fantastic for cutting. It will die back in winter and regrow in spring.
Excellent for containers.
Use in soups and salads, teas and more.
This is a perennial so will enter dormancy as just roots in winter. Spring will show new growth Summer in full growth and flower. Autumn the mint begins to die back for winter. Depending when you purchase this item it may be at different stages of growth.
Plants will be sent in 9cm pot. Upon arrival unpack carefully and if dry give a little water. Acllimatise the plant to its new environment before potting on or planting out.
