Gasteria carinata. (Ox Tongue)
Gasteria are often mistaken for an Aloe, which is understandable as they are very similar.
Carinata is a clump forming succulent with dark green textured leaves with long stems holding orange flowerings in summer.
Fantastic in bright diffused light in free draining sandy or gritty soils with minimal water.
Fantastic houseplant as they thrive on neglect.
We grow these in glasshouses but they do well in windows and conservatories as well.
Protect from frost.
The colouring of the plant may vary, this is normal as they respond the different light levels.
Comes in a 9cm pot.
