Geranium Maccrorhizzum 'Ingwersen's Variety'
Hardy geraniums are wonderful easy to grow garden flowers. They vary in colours and growth habit but are predominately summer flowering herbaceous perennials which means that they enter a state of dormancy in winter.
Macrorhizzum have large soft green leaves that have a lemony scent when disturbed. The leaves appear in spring and still till autumn. The flowers emerge above the leaves through summer and are a delicate pale pink.
This geranium is tough and reliable its proven itself through frosts, droughts, heavy rain, snow cover and heatwaves. It needs minimal care and multiplies well.
Grow it in containers where it will tumble down the sides or in the ground as an excellent ground cover and weed suppressant.
Plant in full sun or part shade, we have also found this will grow in shady spots as well, grow in most soil types are an excellent ground cover sitting at around 10cm off the ground.
