A succulent subshrub with long, pointed leaves covered with small, soft hairs that make it appear silver. The name comes from the resemblance to the species mezembryanthemum.
The plant has a tall growth habit and the flower emerge almost like a chandelier on top of the stems in clusters. Each flower being a rich pink and only a couple of mm in size but a grouped together in clusters of numerous blooms.
The flowers have a pleasant scent very powerful compared to the size of them.
Grow in full sun, in a sheltered position and protect from frosts.
Drought tolerant and neglect tolerant.
During the growing season, the plants should be fed with a controlled release feed.
