Carex buchananii (Leatherleaf Sedge)
This ornamental grass is a tufted perennial to 75cm tall which weeps down to make a lovely arching form. Its narrow, evergreen, orange-brown, arching leaves with curling tips, and brown flowering spikes in late summer offer wonderful year round interest and act well as a backdrop to contrasting perennials or bulbs.
The grass is hardy, drought tolerant and easy to grow. It is happy in full sun or part shade and only takes a season or so to become mature. Making it a fantastic choice for nearly any style and location. Also works well in large pots and beds.
Comes in a 9cm pot. These are trimmed back in winter to encourage fresh new growth.
