Rosmarinus 'Mrs Jessop'
A fantastic evergreen scented flowering herb. A must have for any garden big or small. Can be grown in containers or the open ground. It is drought tolerant and needs little attention once established.
The shrub itself is not only scented, edible and a great nectar source for pollinators but also very attractive and offers a nice backdrop to other plants. The flowers come in spring offer lovely blue flowers in mass all over the shrub. The leaves are heavily scented when bruised and are fantastic in cooking. Having being said to be good for memory we know a lot of people who use it when studying or training. Its also a classic with roasts, soups and stews amoung so many other uses including deserts.
As if all that wasnt enough this is also a good companion plant for deterring pests in the garden or allotment.
This cultivar is a compact upright form, we do also offer Rosemarinus officinalis, the classic Rosemary with a semi trailing shrub like habit.
This comes in a litre pot approximately 12cm tall. Plant in full sun and free draining soil avoiding exposed conditions. Tolerant to light frosts once established but may need winter protection in colder areas. Can be grown in glasshouses and conservatories.
