Sedum kimnachii is an excellent groundcover plant, particularly for hot, dry sites with poor soil. This variety forms a dense carpet of glossy green leaves topped with clusters of golden-yellow flowers through summer. Its well suited for the rock garden or edging in a dry border, also a good choice for containers.
A half hardy succulent can be grown outdoors in mild areas in free draining soils or in pots and containers in sheltered spots or under glass.
