Lampranthus 'Red'
Lampranthus are often called ice plants. they are h4 sometimes h5 hardy. meaning they can withstand mild winters outside in free draining soils and walls. if in a colder area keep in containers and bring inside in winter. Alternatively keep them in glasshouses, conservatories and sunny windows.
They are a favourite of ours, we now have approx 30 different cultivars all differing colours and flower sizes.
This particular red is a new addition this year and it hasnt disappointed the stunning mass of flowers is incredible.
The flowers start deep red and fade to a pink red. with an iridescence to the petals in the sunlight
