Aloe aristata
Aloe's come in many forms, this is just one that we have available all of which have the skincare qualities that finds this often used within creams and lotions.
The plants are easy to grow like full sun or part shade and minimal water. Keep dry & protect from frost. Doesnt need potting often as these are happy slightly pot bound. When potting use a 50/50 potting grit to compost mix.
This aloe is a very rugged plant it is perhaps more tolerant of mis care than some. It has dark green leaves. Which are slightly patterned. Rosette forming with plantlets growing off the sides eventually creating a large mounding clump. Can also grow well in the ground if protected from frosts.
So easy to grow need minimal water, tolerant to damp in the air, more so than the aloe vera, making them much easier to overwinter. Likes full sun or part shade and to be protected from frost in damp areas.
A favourite aloe of ours for its reliability. We have been growing this species for at least 20 years. Typically grown as a houseplant in the uk can be grown outside in the right climates.
Comes in a 9cm pot.
