Phygelius 'Coral Princess'
Commonly known as ‘Cape Fuchsia/figwort’
These are semi- evergreen South African sub-shrubs which need a bit of care and attention to get them to perform regularly as well as they certainly can however it is not challenging to do.
They are popularly grown for their long showy tubular flowers. The flowers start in mid summer and last long into autumn. Dead heading will increase the flowering period.
Cut back to just above ground level in spring to encourage new healthy shoots each year. Do this after risk of frost has passed in your area.
These can be grown in pots short term but do best in the ground in part shade or full sun. There not overly fussy on soil type or aspect and can even grow through other plants.
In cold areas choose a sheltered spot from wind-chill and mulch in winter.
Find a happy spot and these will reward with months of colourful flowers enjoyed everyone.

Each plant comes propagated from our very own stock, it is approximately 10cm tall in a 9cm pot. They are always organic, peat free and fully hardened off so can be planted out without any indoor time required.
