French Tarragon
The strongly aromatic leaves of perennial tarragon are ideal chopped and added to salads, fish, egg and chicken dishes. The leaves can be used to infuse white wine vinegar and it is an essential flavouring a buttery béarnaise sauce.
The french tarragon is much preferred for use in cuisine and also offers a fantastic herbaceous perennial great for herbaceous borders, sensory gardens and more.
Best given winter protection in colder areas, we find these grow brilliantly in the corner of a greenhouse and work well as companion plants to other greenhouse crops.
Comes in a 7cm pot, appearance will vary depending on the time of year purchased, In full growth in summer these begin to die back to their in dormant state, in winter these are dormant as roots, and regrow in spring.
Plant out once received in full sun or part shade in a sheltered location, glasshouse or containers.
