Drosera binata, (Sundew)
This sale is for the more unusual forked leaved Sundew.
It creates forks of sticky leaves. Multiplying to fill its pot. A real addition to any collection.
Sundews are the easiest carnivorous plants to keep, often the first ones people try however even experts still adore these fantastically interesting fly trap plants.
There best in bright light and kept above freezing. Drosera can tolerate cold so can be kept in a greenhouse as long as it doesnt frost and can also be kept in the house in a good bright spot.
To keep sit these in a dish of rainwater (dont use tap) between Feb and Nov. Dec and Jan keep moist but do not sit in water as this is there dormant phase, During this time the plants may lose their leaves, this is normal. Its also the best time to repot.
These plants should never be fed with plant food and do not use normal compost for them.
Our plants are grown in specific developed PEAT FREE growing medium which we do also offer for sale for when you wish to repot however these will be fine upon arrival for a few months at least.
They come in a 7cm pot. Appearance will vary with the time of year as these enter dormancy during the 2-3 months of the deepest parts of winter.
