Skimmia are hardy evergreen shrubs that prefer to be in full or part shade making them fantastic for darker areas. The leaves are an attractive glossy green with new shoots a bright colour adding contrast against the old. The flowers comes in spring summer and emerge from pink buds to white blooms which smell delightful.
From these flowers comes bright red berries (harmful if eaten) that often sit through winter adding a lovely splash of colour.
Once established the plants are drought tolerant, frost & snow hardy. Can tolerant shade and wind and are happy by the coast.
